Today's Harvest

This is the harvest of the day. I have really been getting a kick out of taking these veggies in to work and giving them away. I went around thumping melons today, and this one had a nice hollow thump, so decided to pick it and see if it is ripe. Gosh I hope it is! The tomatoes are starting to get red. I picked a few romas today. The first of those. The cherry tomatoes have been coming on now for about a week. Some critter is having a feast out there with the great big ones. There were two huge tomatoes half eaten I had to throw in to the field, and several smaller one's, but there is plenty for all of us.

Doesn't it just make you so happy to go out and pick veggies out of your own garden!

I love it. Unfortunately we just did peppers in pots this year to try and let our dirt recharge a bit.
