I had the most pleasant surpise yesterday. The UPS driver dropped off a box, and inside were these fabulous wooden cigar boxes. I want to give them all away with gifts inside , but at the same time, I want to keep them all. Aren't they neat?
Junie, they're wonderful! Where DID you get them, if you don't mind telling us. What a great idea to use to put gifts in. I just love your creativity and imagination.
I live in an old (VERY OLD) farm house on a family farm in Indiana. I have been slowly trying to restore it. Well, that's not the word I want to use...more like make it livable. It has been one interesting and trying experience. I moved out to the country for a peaceful, quiet life, but discovered that it isn't easier than the city life, just a different set of problems.
Sometimes you will see a short story or a poem, or just daily activities on this site, nothing complicated. After all this IS the simple life.

WOW WHERE did you get those??? I love them!!! Cedar
Wow these are neat! Keep the one you were going to put my gift in as I don't need another box...unless it is our last name!! Ha!
These all look new...bet they smell good. I love the smell of pre-smoked tobacco. Could you put jewelry in them? Are they wood or cardboard?
They all are wood, some with latches, and hinges, and some, the lids slide open. They smell wonderful!
One even has a black felt lining in it, and ebony buttons on the openers, so yes, you could put jewelry in them.
