I was awakened in the middle of the night by a very loud crack, boom, and rumble. At first I was hoping it was lightening and thunder, so I layed in bed and hoped to see lightening. No such luck. When I went upstairs, this is what I found.
I live in an old (VERY OLD) farm house on a family farm in Indiana. I have been slowly trying to restore it. Well, that's not the word I want to use...more like make it livable. It has been one interesting and trying experience. I moved out to the country for a peaceful, quiet life, but discovered that it isn't easier than the city life, just a different set of problems.
Sometimes you will see a short story or a poem, or just daily activities on this site, nothing complicated. After all this IS the simple life.

Is that where we fixed it? Yeah, come through insureance. Maybe an answered prayer??!!
That is pretty close to where the goo was slathered to stop the leak. I don't think there is enough goo to slather on this one.
That came through your roof??? Do we need to have a "fix it at Junie's" party?
